The Center for Policing Equity released the following statement in response to Attorney General Sessions’ order of review of police reform agreements:
“Public safety moves at the speed of trust. The Attorney General’s order is a terrible blow to the work that police and communities have been doing together for the past several years. This new direction could ultimately make communities less safe by making them less trusting – possibly setting us back years or more in the process.”
