Greenville deputy’s handling of shooting involving teen in car at odds with policy

A Greenville County deputy who shot at a teenager in a moving vehicle last month didn't handle the situation properly, according to the most current South Carolina law enforcement training.

But the deputy, who the Sheriff's Office has not named publicly, was cleared of any wrongdoing after an internal investigation. There were no disciplinary actions issued against him, said Lt. Ryan Flood, a spokesman of the agency.
