UCLA Assistant Professor and President of the Center for Policing Equity, Dr. Phillip Atiba Goff, has been selected to lead a three-year project, initiated by police chiefs from across the country, and funded by $1 million from the National Science Foundation (NSF), to create the nation’s first, largest, and most robust database on racial profiling. Once populated, this repository will be used by researchers and law enforcement leaders to identify disparities and offer a starting point for more progressive, equitable policing.
