Stephanie Muñoz (she/her(s)/ella) joined the Center for Policing Equity in August 2022. As part of the Community Engagement team, she works to empower communities in the reimagination of equitable public safety systems, with a focus on how those systems intersect with intellectual & developmental disability and environmental justice.

Stephanie has vast experience working in communities and building relationships with state and local officials, community leaders, and community members to address racial disparities in WI. Her racial equity work spans case management, community development, policy research, analysis and advocacy, and organizational change.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a Master of Social Work. In her life outside of CPE, she finds joy in spending time with her family, traveling, exercising and rescuing dogs.
