Maya McDoom, PhD, MPH

Dr. Maya McDoom serves as the Senior Director of Research and Evaluation at the Center for Policing Equity, where she leads a multi-disciplinary team engaged in both implementation of CPE's interventions and evaluation. She has created a portfolio of work focused on the implementation of evidence-based evaluation practices to assess the impact of CPE’s data-driven and policy initiatives and products. Maya promotes the development of innovative research methods to improve program planning and design from the pilot phase and into scale-up efforts.
As an expert in public health, Maya applies health equity and social determinants of health frameworks to her evaluation portfolio. She has built her career in academic, non-profit, and the private sector to advance efforts to eliminate racial health inequities within health and social systems.
Maya earned her PhD from Boston University and her MPH from the University of Kentucky.
