Maya McDoom, PhD, MPH

Maya McDoom, PhD, MPH serves as the Director of Evaluation Research at the Center for Policing Equity where she leads the implementation of evidence-based evaluation practices to assess the impact of CPE’s data-driven and policy initiatives. Maya promotes the development of innovative research methods to improve program planning and design from the pilot phase and into scale-up efforts. 

As an expert in public health, Maya applies health equity and social determinants of health frameworks to her evaluation portfolio. She has built her career in academic, non-profit, and the private sector to advance efforts to eliminate racial health inequities within health and social systems.  

Maya earned her PhD from Boston University and her MPH from the University of Kentucky.
