Marquise Carter

Marquise Carter is a retired Lieutenant from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, where he served as Homicide/Major Crimes Unit Lieutenant. He started his career in Law Enforcement with the Newark Police Department where he served the Patrol Division, Robbery/Homicide Unit, Shooting Response Team and Special Street Crimes Unit. Marquise is well equipped with 27 years of Law Enforcement experience. His leadership command level experience consisted of the Homicide, Narcotics, Special Victims and Juvenile Units. He was given the opportunity to serve as the first African American School Resource Officer for the Washington Township Police Department in the county of Warren. Marquise holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Stockton University.
