Lydia Imani joined the Center for Policing Equity (CPE) in June 2021 as the Program Manager of the Triage Response Team after seven years working within PK-12 education. Committed to racial and social justice, her work has centered around dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline. Prior to CPE, she served as a special education teacher and project manager overseeing community engagement efforts with an EdTech company in the San Francisco Bay Area. Lydia earned her BA in Communication with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Leadership from Pepperdine University, and a MA in Human Rights Education from the University of San Francisco.
