Steiner Houston graduated from Weber State University in the Spring of 2019 with a B.S. in Sociology and an A.S. in Criminal Justice, becoming the first member of his family to obtain higher education degrees. While in school, he was recruited to be a member of Weber State University’s Community Research Team, a division of the University’s Center for Community Engaged Learning. While a member of the Community Research Team, he worked extensively with a Northern Utah law enforcement agency to complete research projects that focused on community perception of local law enforcement and racial disparities in police contacts. Following his graduation and research Steiner joined the Center for Policing Equity as a Data Acquisition Specialist in November 2019.
