Jillian Swencionis, Ph.D.

Senior Research Scientist and Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Swencionis is a social psychologist conducting research with Center for Policing Equity in New York. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and Social Policy from Princeton University, where she also earned an M.A. in Psychology. She completed her B.A. in Social Studies and Psychology at Harvard, and conducted psychological research on intergroup relations at New York University.

Dr. Swencionis’s research investigates the dynamics of interpersonal interactions across social class and racial boundaries, with an eye toward how behavioral science can inform policy, and how policy can influence behavior. Her research has been supported by the National Science Foundation and by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
