Angie Benton

Angie Benton joined the Center for Policing Equity (CPE) in April 2020 as the Program Manager for Product Discovery, a program charged with driving constant innovation of the Justice Initiatives portfolio of products and services. 

Angie is committed to positively impacting social justice issues and uplifting underserved communities. In her previous role, she managed a team of consultants working in collaboration with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health to transform practices and improve clinical outcomes by employing data-driven, quality improvement methodologies. Previously, Angie served as a city delegate for the Long Beach Health and Race Equity Cohort that was responsible for the development and mobilization of the first Office of Equity for the City, while also spearheading a multitude of strategic initiatives in the Long Beach Health Department.

Angie is a National Urban Fellow alumnus and holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the City University of New York, Baruch College, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Portland State University.
