Lucy Odigie-Turley, PhD

Lucy Odigie-Turley serves as the Editorial Director for the Data Driven Interventions team at The Center for Policing Equity (CPE). In her role, Lucy manages the end-to-end production of all Data Driven Intervention (DDI) products, ensuring quality assurance of all written products and other collateral, and providing strategic vision on messaging, distribution, and outreach. 

Before joining CPE, Lucy was the Director of Research at The Opportunity Agenda, a social justice communications lab based in New York City. As the Director of Research, Lucy led the organization’s communications research strategy and activities, including the assessment of public opinion, news media coverage, online media discourse, and popular culture as it related to organizational initiatives and mission. In her time at the organization, her research was featured in Forbes, The Hollywood Reporter, The Guardian, LA Weekly, and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. 

Lucy holds a Ph.D. in Communication from American University, an M.A. from New York University in Africana Studies with a concentration in Global Journalism, and a B.A. in English from Queen Mary, University of London.
