Jui Nerurkar

Jui Nerurkar works as a Data Analyst on the Data Driven Interventions team at the Center for Policing Equity (CPE). In her role  she analyzes data received from police departments as per the National Justice Database analysis plan, performs data wrangling to prepare the data for analysis, runs regressions models to identify and measure racial bias in policing activities, and produces data visualizations. In addition to this, she contributed to CPE’s digital analysis reports in Tableau by writing code to automate the text displayed in those reports which enabled achieving scalability and reducing turnaround time.

In the past, Jui worked as a research assistant at New York University, where her work mostly involved using causal inference techniques to determine the efficacy of new policing strategies and building machine learning models to derive actionable insights for law enforcement agencies.
