Camilo A. Ramirez

Camilo A. Ramirez believes that a just society is one in which systems of public safety are accountable, equitable, and rooted in dignity. As Executive Vice President of Program Strategy at the Center for Policing Equity, he is responsible for shaping strategy and ensuring that programs are aligned, adaptive, and designed for measurable impact. Committed to fostering a culture of innovation, critical thinking, and continuous learning, he works to create an environment where colleagues can thrive, collaborate, and grow stronger as a team. 

With experience spanning roles at The Bail Project, The Bronx Defenders, and the Center for Constitutional Rights, Camilo has expertise in strategic planning, policy advocacy, and narrative change. A published co-author and translator, he brings a multidisciplinary perspective to his work, combining systems thinking, strategic communications, and a deep understanding of criminal justice policy to drive sustainable and transformative reform.
