Perry A. Bankhead is a Project Coordinator for the National Justice Database. He retired in April 2017, as the Director of the Internal Affairs Division of the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) a component of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Mr. Bankhead was responsible for managing all NPPD criminal and administrative investigations pertaining to allegations of misconduct by NPPD personnel. Mr. Bankhead served as the Acting Director of the NPPD Office of Compliance and Security from 2014 to September 2015. Mr. Bankhead has been a law enforcement officer for 33 years. In addition to DHS he worked as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, Vice Presidential Protective Division, Intelligence Division. Mr. Bankhead started his law enforcement career as police officer in West Valley City, Utah.
Mr. Bankhead holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Utah. Mr. Bankhead resides in the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Area.
