Mirelis Gonzalez is Associate Director of Administration at CPE. Prior to joining CPE, Mirelis worked as a Project Manager at NYU Medical Center, where she oversaw the implementation of several alcohol, opioid, and tobacco use treatment studies. These studies sought to address the structural, behavioral, and neurobiological issues affecting some of our most vulnerable communities- including those involved in the justice system, those with HIV+ diagnoses, and the chronically homeless. Mirelis received both her BA in International Relations and MS in Global Health from Syracuse University, where she was recipient of the Excellence in Public Health award for her work with pregnant minority and refugee women in Syracuse. She is pursuing a doctorate in public health at the CUNY School of Public Health studying the intersection of race, health, and mass incarceration.
